When did they put the CD KEY back? I know it was removed in the Diamond Edition, so anyone could play lan? Is there a way to remove it now? or is the DRM here to stay?

LAN Multiplayer
It was never removed. The retail version of the Diamond Edition always required a CD Key. The GOG version simply included a generic CD key as part of the installer, but you still had to update with your official key for multiplayer.

You can find your CD keys by going into your game library on the GOG website (not through Galaxy - has to be through a browser). Click the Neverwinter Nights icon, then click More > CD Keys. You can then use the CDKey Changer Tool utility, which should be on your Start menu in the Neverwinter Nights folder.
So you cannot play lan without a cd key then? So If I bought this and decided to play lan with my brother, then it is out of the question?
If you mean use the same copy to play lan on two different machines, then I don't think you can do that. You each need your own multiplayer key.

NWN was the first GOG game from what I remember to give keys out to people requesting them for MP. It was either this one or UT2004.

Not the answer you want, sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Nwn diamond came with 2 sets of keys. One default set and one personal set. So you can at multiplayer lan of it's just the two of you on Diamond.

EE is per person.
Thanks for your answers.
