I want to invite anyone new to the game (or old!) to try out Neversummer 3.5

It is a full on hack'n'slash, powerleveling server, and in my opinion it is -the- definitive "PW Action" server on NWN1. With the right equipment you can hit level 20 in a day, Most melee characters in epic levels can do 100-200 damage on a non-critical hit, and spells have been buffed to do more damage.

I've been a part of neverwinter nights since 2003, and I've spent most of my time on roleplaying servers. However, Neversummer 3.5 has always held a special place in my heart. Even though the server goes against the core tenants of most RP servers (powerleveling/minmax builds/100% out of character), there is a great community to the server.

Since the playerbase (like many NWN1 servers now) is small, everyone parties up. Players go on raids together, joke together, and make friends. Truly, some of the best people I've met in my life have been on this server.

As for the areas within the server, they are varied from elemental planes to undead crypts to entire realms of dragons, along with at least 5 Wheel of Time inspired areas (I think the devs really liked the books). There is plenty to explore and see, and thousands of unique encounters and monsters to face. The whole server is one big connection of thousands of areas filled with squishy monsters to destroy! In a way, it reminds me a lot of non-roleplaying MUDs from the 90s.

Neversummer is a place of high adventure and exploration, and the joy of quick levels means that you can explore more and replay the server as a different class once you hit level 40.

For those of you who don't have a client to connect to servers, you can find it on nwnlist.com and connect by manually typing in the IP address 32.212.97.100:5121 into the direct connect box.

I hope to see some of you there! My character is Grok, a halforc of pure destruction.

Yeay, NWN1 with 3.5 is the best!
It's even better with the subraces (WoodElf!). Are they on the server??

No Subraces, though I think those are in NS4
What's the difference between Neversummer 4 and Neversummer 3.5?

MagicalMaster: What's the difference between Neversummer 4 and Neversummer 3.5?
They pretty different, the only connection is the same dev teams and some similar areas.

Neversummer 3.5 is a server based on high level/high magic raids and destroying the baddies. The focus is to explore, find loot, and travel with friends. Sort of like an MMO but with a more intimate group of players.

Neversummer 4 is more low magic with slower level progression (due to level requirements for equipment). It isn't an RP server, but it could easily have been one. NS4 also has a faction system that was originally intended to create PvP, but with so few players left around I doubt that occurs regularly.
I see. Is there a list of changes anywhere? I was able to find a bunch of information and a whole wiki on NS4, but the only thing I've been able to find for NS3.5 are some dead forums that don't have information on things like class/spell changes.
