Everytime I go to Wells of Lurie it crashes when I try to load my game from there. I've even gone there and went to a different map and saved and it crashes in the same way. It's like that area is messing up my saves somehow. I've tried reinstalling, running every exe in WinXP compatibility, running client extension, updating my GPU drivers, disabling UAC, taking full ownership of the NWN2 install folder. Please help me, I'm loving Mask of the Betrayer. Let me know if this area is skippable and it may be a workaround.

What error message do you get? (take a screenshot and post that if you can). Does anything get reported in Windows' Event Viewer? Have you installed any mods and if so, have you tried clearing your Override folder to see if that helps? (suggestion: rename it and rerun NWN2 - you may have two Override folders, one in NWN2's main folder and the second in "%HOMEPATH%\My Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2\override" in which case rename both). If clearing/renaming the Override folder solves the problem, then it is a mod you have installed that is causing it.

If none of the above help, then a corrupted area file could be the cause, in which case, try re-installing NWN2 (backup your saved games first - in "%HOMEPATH%\My Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2\Saves" by default - then you can copy them back into the new install).

I already did a clean install of the game.

If it's still crashing, please provide full details of the error message (don't bother with dump files - they're only of use to developers).
