The kingmaker reinstaller gets to "Version 1.66 or higher) then stops working. I have redownloaded the installer, and run is under windows xp compatibility mode AND run as administrator at the same time. It hasn't worked. This is disappointing, as I was looking forward to playing kingmaker :(

Doesn't really matter anyway.

The NWN authentication server has stopped accepting NWN premium modules,
so even if you'd get kingmaker installed, it still wouldn't run.

Doesn't seem Atari or Bioware are going to fix this either.

I actually have a boxed copy I never got around to playing, seems like I never will either.

Well, i tried it, and it seemed to work at first, before i did the CD key. couldn't i just reinstall it at one point to play it?

I just noticed they did fix the authentication server a few days ago.
Verified I can again load an old Wyvern Crown save and the game plays just fine.

Can't say what's causing your problem though.
Maybe reinstall of the whole NWN would be in order.

The authentication servers are still down, but the modules will load and play. They've also been released for free - I got them from Neverwinter Connections.
