I have the sword etc. How do you kill Garius in the the fight in the keep? i have him at near death status for near an hour real time and nothing works

You can't kill him until you kill the Nightwalker he is supposed to summon. (but sometimes doesn't)
Open the console and type rs 3541_death_nwalker

I took Khelgar to fight him. He was a team strong man, my hero couldn't cope with him because he was a paper paladin.
