the whole process seems to almost complete, and then it tries to configure Microsoft Visual C++ for the 2005 edition... then it just quits and says "installation failed" and "Configuration Error"


I do not doubt this at all if it tried to force a my current Windows 10 + latest Microsoft Visual C++ to use some 2005 configuration.

It does not give me any options... just quits & says installation failed.

I used the Galaxy app provided by GoG to download & install this game I just bought today....

Don't know what to do, & The Support button for GoG says to check game forum first...

Did you turn off any microsoft services by chance?
The issue isn't the installer it seems your ability to install the mvc libs.

All game installers always overwrite the old mvc libs I know it sounds stupid but that is how it always has worked.
I think of all games I ever installed I once saw message saying you can skip lib installation.

Nope... all services were up & running...

I guess I'll have to seek info from someone a bit more tech savvy.

The installer did not give anymore details or information, or error codes for anything specific.
