As the title says - I can't even damage the maker let alone beat him. Am a fighter/rogue and have Deekin and Nathyrra in my little party. Weapons include cold iron blade and short sword enchanted with fire. I've also tried all kinds of arrows and bolts. Tried all manner of potion combinations and various magic items.... Nothing, niente, nada!

If you beat the two golems, you should have the gear to take on the Maker, although he's one of the toughest battles in the game. Only thing I can think of (as it's been a loooong time since I played through) is make sure you're buffed to the max. Protection from elemental damage (especially fire,M I think) as well as from mind effects will help a lot. Spell mantle scrolls are also invaluable here (so you can absorb his nasty spells). Make sure you have some heal pots as well. He has crazy damage resistance as well as magic resistance.

What are the stats on your weapons? Do you have any scrolls or weapons that have bonuses against Undead (scroll of Sunburst, for example)?

You don't have to defeat him though. If you have a scroll of Greater Sanctuary, you can just walk in and loot his stuff.

You need highly enchanted weapons in order to overcome The Maker's damage resistance (if memory serves you need +5 or better weapons). I think he also has some pretty high elemental damage resistance, so elemental damage enchantments won't do you much good.

Ability to use Magical Scrolls
Things to boost Intelligence / Charisma.
Improved Invisibility ( spell, scroll or item )
Black Blade of Disaster ( spell, scroll or item )


Cast Improved Invisibility.
Boost Intelligence / Charisma. Read the description of the Black Blade spell for why.
Cast Black Blade of Disaster.
Wander away from fight. Read the description of the Black Blade spell for why.

The Black Blade should be able to kill the Maker while you loot the room.

According to the spell description at the wiki, that part of the spell is bugged and capped, so high int/chr are kind of irrelevant.

But yeah, BBoD is a powerful Wizard spell that will help if you can cast it.

The easiest time I had with the Maker was as an Arcane Archer, with a crafted longbow. Hang back and pincushion him.

IIRC, lay on hands from a high level paladin does a good chunk of damage.
