Just in case this proves helpful --
If, like me, you are a laptop user and having trouble with NWN's resolution settings, try setting your Nvidia control panel to the following:
1. Display --> Adjust desktop size and position
2. click the box that says "Override the scaling mode set by games and programs"
You should now be able to set the resolution in-game (rather than having to do so by tweaking the nwn.ini file, which for me did nothing anyway.)
For me, the problem was that the game would *only* run in my native 1920x1080 resolution, which meant the whole game was reduced to a small box in the middle of the screen -- way too tiny to play this way.
This way, you can set your res. in-game to 800x600. Yes, it's a very low resolution, but at least it takes up most of the screen now. YMMV.
