Can anyone recommend any good mods for either game that take the PC from at or near level one all the way to the cap? (Preferably nonlinear, and compatible with the PRc, for NWN1).

Your links aren't working: GOG doesn't understand that formatting method. I've corrected them below:

Chapter 2
Chapter 3
Chapter 4
Chapter 5
Chapter 6
Chapter 7
Chapter 8

Thanks. This forum is rather crude. I can see now where I made a mistake. I'm going to edit my post. Thanks again.
The Aielund Sage for NWN1. Excellent series and will take you from lvl 1 to near the level cap. All the parts can be found linked here.

I've tried playing this game & it's not working for me. In ch 1 there was a missing key nowhere to be found. I had to use the runscript command. The 2 ch there is no shrine to destroy, it's now physically there!!!

where are the latest versions located at.
I second Aielund. Played it through several times and it is a superior campaign. However, the IGN Vault is dead so you'll need to DL it from the new Vault.

The first module is available at http://neverwintervault.org/project/nwn1/module/aielund-saga-act-i-nature-abhors-vacuum-v201

You'll need to search using "aielund" to get the balance of the campaign. (I'm way to lazy and short of time to furnish all the links. :( )

edit: Same goes for the other campaign mentioned. Just type in "vis et virtus" in the Search box and all will be displayed. I believe all NWN1 CC modules have been accounted for at neverwintervault.org at this writing.

If Vis et Virtus is the standard for superior campaign, the rest must be garbage. For starters for a game that is focused on the story & characters, assumes everyone is a speed reader. The text goes by way to fast & often you have to look at the chat log to see what was said. The text is also white & if the sentence is short, then you are likely to miss it if there is a light colored background.

The writing of the campaign is hit or miss, mostly miss. The voice acting is HORRIBLE, not even high school drama class level. NOTHING to explore (noted in the game description), It's lengthy, but unnecessarily so because you are walking a LOT w/ nothing to explore or discover except to pick up the occasional medicinal item. If you have to re load a game & repeat dialog, there is NO way to skip it so you have to endure the whole thing again...during one such situation i actually had time to load the washing machine, start, then go to the kitchen to nuke some food. When i came back it was still going on.

This mod needs a LOT more polish & scrubbing since it's so focused on the story & characters.

I've never heard of "Vis et Virtus" prior to this thread, so it's definitely not the standard for a superior campaign.

Aielund, on the other hand, is amazing (especially Act 3 and 4, Act 1 is interesting but definitely the weakest).

That's the thing about opinions... everybody has one. If the text can be easily discerned by someone with glaucoma, it should be easy for a normally-sighted player to enjoy.

Odd that a Hall of Fame series like Aielund would fall so short of your expectations. I guess those 57,000+ downloads must have been an accident by many uninformed players, eh?

Rather than wasting time and server space flaming an opinion, perhaps you could furnish a list of your own Hall of Fame epic series and add some value to the OP's topic.

Never mind. It's obvious you have an agenda all your own to keep you busy.

Sorry to bump this a little, but...he wasn't talking about Aielund, he was talking about Vis et Virtus. Although the part of your post which he quoted was a bit misleading, if you'd looked at the first sentence in any detail you'd have seen that.
