I'm sorry, but this is fucking redicilous.

We purchase the game in the hopes of having an awesome weekend multiplayer session, and your fucking piece of shit CD-Key bullshit has ruined things completely.

Please state on your front page or the games info page that a CD-Key has to be requested manually and that you are too lazy to check a few e-mails on weekends.

Thanks for nothing.
Agreed, how could you even dream of offering a service and basically screwing your costumers in the face?

This is something that should be sorted swiftly...
Word, fucking sucks hard.

At least send the CD-key in the mail or something. Having to request mail and you guys not answering requests on weekends is bullshit.

WE PLAY GAMES ON WEEKENDS.

Thanks for shit.

It is right there on the Game Info Page. All you had to do is read it. I am sorry for your messed up weekend, But your request to list it on the game info page was already done long ago.

Quote:
Multiplayer notice: online multiplayer mode is available after register your unique CD-key for the game. For details see: Support.

If you would have followed the ling for Support you would have had full details.

Its redicilous, and very easy to miss.

BESIDES, it says nothing about REQUESTING a CD-key. It just notes you must register your CD-Key. Following a support link before you even purchase a game? Fucking idiocy at the highest level.

Code a simple utility in java that sends out a CD-Key from a list of available to the purchasers E-mail address. Takes about 3 hours, a day of Q&A. Done.
Nothing less should be expected from a professional company like GoG.

Still bullshit, still terribly disappointed.

This is what it says, it says nothing about having to request your CD-key.

Obviously the CD-Key should be in your download or in the e-mail you get when having bought the game.

We're not trolls, we're fucking pissed at this shit because it's stupid.

You have to understand, people on the interwebz will treat honestly pissed off people as trolls if the mistake was or seems to be a stupid one.

A smooth way to ridd yourself of any negative player response tbh, flaming the poster to be a troll...

Point stays valid, easy thing to correct to funtion in a pleasing way...
If you just want to play with friends, this is easily doable over a VPN that does not require unique valid CD Keys. With most online servers however, you will find it rare that a server does not contact the Bioware Master Server before accepting a connection from a player. But if you are the local host of the server, you can simply decide not to ask, as I recall. Not that it's a setting built into the game, mind you.
Instead of being counter productive and flaming the boards here like a child. Why don't you try and be productive by sending a polite criticism to support.

To be frank your attitude here only degrades any legitimate case you may have.

Even without connecting to the Master Server, I dout the Server would allow two players to have the same Public Player CD-Key. I am not positive on that point, Never having tested it, It is just my gut feeling. Replacing the Generic CD-Keys on one of the clients with a Random Key would overcome that problem on a local network.

As I understand it, a server has to contact the Master Server in order to determine whether or not a CD Key is already in use somewhere else. This is the default operating procedure for servers (as it is for players in order to perform the legitimate CD Key check), but that does not mean it must always be that way.

There have been issues in the past when the Master Server was offline (I forget the specifics of the problems caused however); we now use a scripted secondary authorization system for CD Keys in addition to the default Master Server check, though this is more for account security purposes (in the event that the Master Server goes down) rather than for legitimate CD Key checks.
