So I've been wanting to go through NWN2's campaign with a friend for a while now.
Year ago we managed to get the planets to align and direct connect to each other's game but we didn't get all that far before it stopped working and we gave up after a lot of failed troubleshooting.
I want to go about it again but just wanna know what's the best way to do it?
I've got the client extension but if I create a server with that going and my friend runs the game with the extension as well,. will the server I created appear in his server list when he refreshes it?
Do we both need port forwarding set up? Is direct connect still an ideal way to get co-op going and if so how do I know for certain what IP he should be trying to connect to when the server is up?
I only ask all this because there's quite a bit of information out there about joining existing servers but I've found precious little about setting up your own one for the sake of campaign co-op.
We tried about half a year ago to get a LAN game going using both Tunngle and Hamachi but neither worked for us when we tried connecting to each other.
Thanks to anyone who answers.
