All done in Flash, no info about gameplay mechanics, stupid bits like enemies called "Big Mutha", awkward crafting, chaotic combat with no way to assess your chances (you can as well roll a dice).

I mean, how hard is to make a makeshift sack from a hospital gown to carry at least few items? No sir, cannot "craft" that.
Done in Flash...yes but why is this a prob. aside from the savegamemechanic ?

No Info...there's a manual and a good wiki explaining the mechanics

Big Mutha...might be true but only 1 of 1000 games is free of things like this and it depends at the point of view

crafting...the crafting system is far, far away from being perfect but compared with other games that
include crafting it's above average...and Neo is only a 10 buck indie

combat...first...it's just wrong that you can't assess you chances, aside from this...Baldurs Gate. Never Winter Nights,
Arcanum, and many more...they're all about dicerolls for a big part of the game...at the "basic inctinct" is the
most important, then the char you created and the tactical situation...then luck/diceroll

but sure..if you're running 50m towards a riflewilding guy and trying to kill him with a club...and hoping he
has no ammo..or doesn't hit you to hard until you can attack at meleerange...yes that's rolling dice..or better
russian roulette...you will loose earlier or later and Neo is about forcing to enemy to fight after your rules,
you have to be the guy with the rifle or you made some faults ;)
Okay, I must say I take my initial assessment back. I made myself come back to the game and it kinda grows on me.

There are impressive moments like persistence of the characters - you can track a wounded enemy and actually find him dead few hexes away. Wow.

Hehe, I have to say, after a year playing this, the amount of players that change their mind after banging their heads against the initial difficulty is still amusing to me. Don't get me wrong, this isn't a perfect game. I just find its flaws charming, personally. ;) Basically because I spent about a month of my life being handed my ass over and over, getting pissed that it was beating me so badly. XD Not many games do that anymore, and the fact that NEO adamantly refuses to hold my hand scratches an itch for me.
