I really like this game and it's much fun. Music is superb. Story and art are very good. It's stable and I find not a single bug. I also like the traits system very much. What I think, that needs some rework:

- money is irrelevant after you get your large ship. It needs a money-sink, maybe a safe dock, that can be developed? Or you decrease the money you can earn and lower the food price?

- ship prices scales not optimal. The first small ship you can buy, the price is good. A real decision to invest in research, exploring or better ship. For the medium and larger ones the price is not important anymore. Imo, they should be much expensiver. Also to prevent the mess, the game throws at you, when you upgrade to a bigger ship and cannot equip a good crew to it.

- the scientist seems to me the least useful profession and it's the most expensive. Science skills for the captain, especially bandage, are good, but the scientist is needed just to unlock the sick bay. Maybe, make them demand less lay.

- some skills-trees seems only good to unlock research. Sailors and craftsman with extra dices are so much more usefull in combat. I don't like the need to hire and fire because of this. I would really like a mechanic, what keeps your fired crew at the tavern for longer. Maybe, they stay there forever and take the place of a new generated one instead. I also don't like it too much, that you can hire the best crew at the tavern, that don't need to develop anymore.

- the first main quest encounter "rachel" is really hard. But the rest of the main quest is no big challenge. I don't know, what is better, make them all really hard or all relative easy, but i suggest, make them similar hard.

Despite my critisim, thanks to the devs for this game gem!

Hey eschenbacher, thanks for your feedback, much appreciated. We are currently working on all the feedback collected in order to improve the game in the next few weeks. A couple of the things you have mentioned is already in our to do list (like a change in the upgrade skills and the problem of the economy of the game with big ships) we will think about the rest.
