Im still new with these series i have readed the books of myst and i loved it but what has uru to do with those series? and what is the diffren to this version and the online version wich is free.
The main difference bewteen URU:CC and MOULA - which is the free version you mentioned - is that URU:CC is a single player game while MOULA is online mutliplayer - you will need to cooperate with other players to finish some of the puzzles and stuff. There are other differences but most of them are not really that important.

Trying to keep it spoilers free,

If you read the books then you know that the D'ni civilization eventually crumbled. URU takes place after a group of explorers found the remnants of URU - the ancient city. Eventually those explorers also left, and now it's you, the player, who is about to explore the Deep City. You'll come across lots of interesting things not only concenrning the D'ni, their history and their Ages but also about the group of explorers that came before you.

Which books have you read ? In terms of timeline Myst takes place between Book of Atrus and Riven.

Yeah, it's the same engine.

I suspect you're mixing up some stuff there. The blue and red books you mentioned are probably the books where Sirrus and Achenar are trapped in Myst.

None on the novels focus on Atrus's sons though.

You're probably thinking about Book of Atrus, where Atrus' father, Ghen, teachs him the Art (of writng the linking books).

yeah now you mention it btw they were great books one of the few i read trough very quickly
There are actually 4 books in all, Book of Ti'anna, Book of Atrus, Riven, And Book of D'ni.

Wait, what? I nerver heard of that Riven book, did I miss something? I've read all the others but that one is a mystery to me.
I know they were supposed to release one called Book of Marrim (which there was an excerpt from in the collecor edition of Myst V) but since we never heard from it ever since, I assume it's been cancelled, though...

RuheBlut: Riven
If you mean Riven by Jerry B. Jenkins the book is completely unrelated to Myst/Riven/URU and i'm not aware of a fourth book besides the already mentioned Book of Marrim which so far didn't happened, so there are 3 novels.

I was kind of hoping that you'd prove me wrong 'cause i'd love nothing better than another novel from this series to read ;)
