I have almost completed this age but when I walk out of the elevator I don't see the book? I went back in the elevator and it won't move. Which level should I be on? The one that the elevator takes me is where all the huts are. I reconnected the pipe, changed all the water flow went into the new elevator or not?

Should I be on the 3rd level?

You have to go across the way. You have to connect the pipe and get the water flowing through there. But there's a bridge to be built. The elevator to the myst book lies beyond the bridge. The bridge is on the ground level.
