I had trouble saving or loading saved games. I ran across this TIP which helped - I can save and open saved games now. If you have Microsoft Office (2007) uninstall the GROOVE (if you don't use it) component using Control Panel/Install-Uninstall. Highlight Microsoft office and choose CHANGE. Place an X in the GROOVE APPLICATION and reconfigure Microsoft Office.

The only problem I have when I save as - The routine does not give me a "box" to enter my own names for the saved area of the game. I can only save under one name "SAVE.rvn". So I copied multiple copies of SAVE.rvn into the riven folder and renamed them SAVE1.rvn......SAVEXX.rvn. Now I have choices that enable me to save different parst of the game. I think if you just "hit" save it saves into the file SAVE.rvn??
