I use Windows Vista and downloaded Myst from gog about a year ago and have not had any problems running the game. Recently downloaded Riven (also from gog) but cannot get it to open. I have tried changing compatibility options and turning the user account control off. I have recent Windows updates. Any ideas?

I have the same issue. Also using Vista. This seems different from most problems with Riven in that it doesn't even start at all. I've tried a lot of the recommended steps (downloading the official patch, reinstalling QuickTime, changing QuickTime settings, checking compatibility, unchecking compatibility, running as admin, etc.) with no success so far, but there are a few other things I still intend to try. Please let me know if you solve this problem.
