Thought i would share this good news with my fellow GoG gamers. Here is a link to the news: click.

Why is it such good news you ask yourself? Well cause now you will be able to play Riven on multiple platforms, and without installing old quicktime codecs to get the game to work, and without the saving/loading bugs, random crashes, etc...

Support is not yet official because some things are not 100% implemented yet, but if you already know the answer to the Marble puzzle and Riven numerals you can complete the game using ScummVM.

Other good news is of course that MYST/MYST ME uses the same game engine and that is also being worked on by the ScummVM dev team. More good news from ScummVM for us Cyan fans in the future, i am sure.

So anyway, grab a ScummVM SVN build for your platform (you can get them here: click) and get sucked into the beautiful world called Riven.

That is great news!
Awesome news. Just fired up Myst in ScummVM and it starts, although video doesn't yet seem to be supported, and the game crashed when I clicked on the door to the left of the starting point.

Good start, though! Makes me feel better about my impulsive purchases of Myst and Riven yesterday.

RealMyst is looking mighty tempting right now, though.
Hi all, hopefully you are all still around. I noticed this post earlier and am attempting to do research on how to load files from GOG .exe files to ScummVM on a Nexus 7 tablet. Was wondering how to go about doing that from the files? I had originally bought the game from here thinking it would be easy, but seeing as it turned out not to be, they let me exchange it out for Under a Killing Moon, but figure while enjoying that classic I can continue to find out how to load gog files to ScummVM, then re buy Myst once it is all figured out.

So if there is some type of work around to help make this easier that would be awesome? I had originally tried searching for the files that the ScummVM site says are needed, but upon installing the game I couldn't find those files, and it seemed like most people who just tried inserting the exe file and installing the game on ScummVM weren't having luck. So any help that you all can provide would be awesome. Cause having a nice mobile version of it would be nice.

Cheers all
