Playing it in ScummVM's daily build, and the videos and game works great. No quicktime for me, yay!

EDIT:

I was having problems with no QT videos playing in Windows 8 for Riven, but this post solved my issue:

Basically enable XP Compatibility mode and the QT videos will play. I installed the latest version of QT and then Riven.

i know im a little late on this but how did you install riven on windows 8? it wont let me since it is 64 bit.
