Hello all. Just to pass along the news that “Riven X”—a reimplementation of the Riven engine on OS X—has just released v0.9 which allows completion of the game and support for loading the game from a folder (where previously a CD/DVD was required).
To play Riven on Mac using your GOG.com purchase simply follow these instructions:
1. Install Riven on a PC, Virtual Machine or Bootcamp.
2. Copy the C:\Program Files\GOG.com\Riven folder to your OS X machine
3. Download Riven X: http://www.devklog.net/rivenx/
4. Run Riven X and when prompted choose the folder you copied to the machine
5. Enjoy! Use Cmd+F for fullscreen

i dont own a mac, but like steam its nice to see more people sitting down with a mouse and keyboard rather than a lame controller :)

Awesome! Any leads if they have an engine for RealMyst too? Or even regular Myst? I have the CD for that.

Eh, I dunno. Why not just use wine? These old games usually do a lot better in wine than on Windows.
