I use Win 7 Pro 64 bits. Installed Riven and Myst Masterpiece.

Riven works perfectly but starting Myst Masterpiece I only get a black screen showing the hand of the mouse movement. It can also show the menu bar. When I exit it also showed the credit..

If that is a problem with Quicktime how comes that Riven works? Does Riven has Quicktime built in? Which version of Quicktime I should install, without iTune? May be a patch would be helpful seeing so many had similar problems.
Same here, same setup. Installs fine but just black screen with sound and a hand but nothing else. If i move the hand to where you enter the myst island normally it crashes
Myst only works with one particular old version of Quicktime, which is installed along with Myst. (Masterpiece Edition only *wants* to work with Win95, too, nothing else.) If you have a more recent version of Quicktime installed, this can cause problems because your computer tends to want to use the most recent version. iTunes always installs Quicktime and can't function without it, so you have to do some tricks if you want them both on the same system.

This thread from the Myst Community forums worked for me on my Win7-64 computer with iTunes.
First uninstall quicktime, then install the 7.0.4 version (http://www.mediafire.com/?jzcakc0lx9w3r2x). Make sure that all compatibility settings on myst.exe are uncheck. Go to the control panel , Quicktime . On the audio tab, check the 'Safe mode (waveOut only)' and one on advanced tab (Safe mode(GDI only)). Click ok and it should work.
I am using Win 7 Home Premium 64bit.

I had the same problem with the black screen and sound only. I could get the menu until I tried to click on the center of the screen. Tried to do compatibility settings and things just got worse.

I installed the latest version of QuickTime (7.7.1) and on a whim, removed all of the compatibility settings for Myst. Except for the intro movie - it all seems to be functioning just fine. Even restores the video card to the correct setting when it closes.
The latest version of QuickTime is not working properly with Myst I think.
I recommend letting Cyan know about this so they can fix it, you can contact them on their support site;
