Before enabling XP Compatibility mode Myst: Masterpiece ran fine, but there were no videos. Since enabling XP Compatibility mode the game now plays videos but locks up regularly after a few minutes or at certain events (for instance, returning to the...ship age? the video causes the game to lock up with the audio just stuttering the last second).
Video card is up to date and I've tried every combination of Quicktime per the support articles, no change. I kind of feel at a loss as to what to try next. Help is greatly appreciated.
As clarification I'm talking about the Masterpiece game, not realMyst.
Thankee!

I had a similar problem where the game would freeze everytime I pulled either lever in the clock tower. I was told it was probably quicktime but nothing fixed it. I changed the compatibility mode to Win 98 and it no longer does that. I've already been in the ship and had no freeze problems there. I hve the Vista 64 bit and am running masterpiece
Hope it helps!
I have the same problem with mine win 7 64 bit, try disable visual themes and apply xp SP2 compatibility mode.
