Everytime I try to run Myst the screen flickers for a moment and then it minimizes the screen in a second or less. It's strange, because if I don't try to bring the screen back up I can still hear the opening videos playing and the monologue. When I bring the screen back up it flickers, works for about 2-3 seconds, then minimizes again.

I've tried running it in several of the compatability modes, disabling visual themes, running as administrator and so forth. One strange thing I noticed is when I bring up the compatability tab for Myst the option to run as administrator is greyed out, but checked. I looked at all the other gog.com games I have, and this seems only to be the case with Myst, although I have no idea what that could mean.

My system:

Windows 7 Professional 32bit
Intel Core i3, 2.26 Hz
Intel HD Graphics
4 GB DDR3 Memory

I am having a similar issue. The screen is completely black but I hear sounds.

Windows 7 64Bit.
Core i5
4GB RAM.
I also get the black screen! I can hear, but there's no visual. The intro/logo video plays, but the screen is blank. I've tried:

* Updating Quicktime
* Uninstalling Quicktime and installing QuickTime Alternative
* Updating Windows
* Updating Direct X
* Various "Compatibility" options, including Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, screen size, color mode, etc.
* Changing the compatibility options on QuickTime to Safe Mode

I find this really frustrating, since the reason I bought this game was that it said it was compatible with Windows 7. If I wanted to fight with my computer for 3+ hours, I would have just stuck with the box set... Sure, it crashed every time we tried to save, but at least it was (just barely) playable...

I also have Windows 7 Pro Home (32bit) with a built-in Intel graphics card.
