I have a problem with slow transition speed in Myst 4. Anybody else encountered this issue?

Chaning the resolution and/or graphics settings (like immersion) doesn't change the speed.

Myst 3 feels rather quick and smooth compared to Myst IV!

I've not actually started this version of the game yet, but I played it on DVD years back and the transitions were rather sluggish back then, too. So it may be intrinsic to the game itself.

If your computer is 15 years old, changing graphic settings might help since it prevents some stuff to be loaded which should make it faster but there's still a 0.5 secs fading that you can't get rid of.

I have the same problem. Turning off immersion creates an hourglass onscreen but it still takes more than a second.
