I'm having a huge problem getting into Selenitic age - I just can't get past the spaceship controls. I tried frustratingly for a good 30 minutes before begging my hubby to take over, which also resulted in nothing. I have consulted a walkthrough so I know what to do. Problem is, I'm tone deaf, and I can't seem to move the slider up bit by bit to the correct note. I'm useless!

So I'm hoping that someone could kindly post up a saved game at the start of the selenitic age. Preferably the other ages have not been completed yet (since I've no problem entering those).

Many, many thanks in advance.

I'm not sure if i have done something on the other ages or not, i'm under the impression i didn't but i guess you'll have to check it out. Link.

As an alternative you could upload your save so that someone could pass the organ puzzle for you.
Thank you, Namur!

And great idea uploading my own saved game. If anyone would be so kind to help me with the puzzle, I'd be so very, very grateful. But I'm happy with this too.

Thanks again!

Omg, you rock!

Thank you, thank you!! x10000
You're welcome!
Having same problem but the link didn't help at all. Windows doesn't recognize the file and won't open it. So a save game for the organ is only way i can advance now as i can't get the keys to work and show me the book. They light up, the sounds play and then nothing. I still stuck on Myst.

It's really quite simple for me because I can carefully move the slider one bit at a time. I look at the keyboard (or the diagram from the Selenitic Age book) and count the keys from left to right, both white and black keys. The far left key is the same as the bottom slider position. For example, the eighth key from the left would be seven moves upward from the bottom on the slider.

To help keep the click counting simple, I always compare each new slider with other sliders for the five-note sequence. For example, I make the second slider level with the first (or count the same number of clicks just to be sure), then stop and let go, and then gradually move the slider from there. The third slider is three moves higher than the second slider because the key for the third note is third from the key for the second note; remember both white and black keys must be counted. And so on.

It always works for me to count and move the slider knobs one click at a time, and much easier for me than trying to match the sound of the notes. When trying to hear the sounds on the slider, holding the mouse button on a slider knob will cause the sound to play until the mouse button is released, there is no need to move the slider at all for that. Anyway, I don't know how else to explain it, so I hope that helps as you play around with it.
