When I play Uru, my GPU is pegged at near 100% all the time and FPS is consistently 350+. Using MSI Afterburner to get framerate and GPU utilization. I have a GeForce 1660 Super video card.

In the NVidia Control Panel, I tried all of the following and none of them worked:
- Vsync On
- Vsync Use 3D application setting
- Max Framerate 60
- Max Framerate 30

Uru doesn't have an option to turn on Vsync in its Graphics settings.

With my GPU running at near 100% all the time, the GPU temperature gets too hot. My GPU fan runs full blast, but it can't keep the temperature down.

I really want to play Uru, but I'm not going to burn up my video card to do it.

Does anyone know how to enable Vsync for Uru?

Thanks!
Craig

Thanks for the quick response. I forgot to mention I'd checked the PC Gaming Wiki page. I always do that with any game when I'm having issues. But thanks for making sure I was aware of it. :-)

I did go to the VSync Glossary page referenced on the Wiki page, and I downloaded D3DOverrider. But it didn't work. In fact, the program wouldn't even launch. No antivirus warning appeared, so I assume it wasn't blocked by my AV. And I'm not going to risk turning off my AV.

I also tried dgVoodoo to see if it could force VSync. But Uru wouldn't launch and displayed an error.

I guess I post something on the Cyan forums.

Thanks,
Craig

Try launching the game in windowed mode, with VSync turned on in the NVIDIA control panel.
