I just bought and installed Myst Masterpiece, and am seeing some graphical distortions. My system is Windows 7 x64. I noticed that when i clicked on the painting in the library that opens the bookcase, lines going horizontally across it. I figured it was an issue with it being such an old game. After trying many different things (older QuickTime, compatibility, etc) I finally just tried playing the "LIBTWIST.MOV" file in the Myst/QTW/MYST folder. The actual .MOV file seems to be corrupt. Obviously my next step would be to re-download the game and reinstall, making sure that it did the integrity check. Even with this clean install of MME and QuickTime I'm still seeing this distortion. Just wanted to see if anyone had any tips, or if anyone else is seeing this.

Also, somewhat similar in topic, does anyone know why the books don't show the fly-by video when you first open them. It doesn't work on any of the books.
You know, honestly, this could be your video card driver, a new standard on .MOV files and all sorts of things. Does this kill the game every time or is it just a transient graphical glitch?
No I tried it out on some different computers. I found that it only plays correctly on win98. doesn't seem there is anyway to get it to play correctly on xp/vista/7
