Hi, everyone,

I'm playing through the Myst series after a very long time and I was facing a tough decision on whether or not to play Myst or Realmyst as the first entry. I settled on Realmyst because of the additional age and better compatibility with my computer, but I wanted to be able to explore the original game a bit without having to play through it all again. (If you were speaking in-universe, it could be the time post-myst but pre-riven when the stranger just hangs out in the Myst ages for a couple weeks.) I figured if I could find a save game that was saved after the player had beaten the game/solved all the puzzles, etc. I could have a nostalgia trip without having to redo everything (which I would no doubt get bored of after a while).

So would anyone be able to direct me to a save file that can be downloaded in which the player not only has given Atrus the white page but has also completed all the puzzles in the ages? Thanks!

If you know how to finish the game, you can do it at the very beginning without going to any ages (and finishing the game doesn't really get you anything that you didn't have before, other than, you know, finishing it). And once you know how to get to an age, it's pretty easy to do in a new game. I would suggest finding a walkthrough instead of a save game.

That may not help you, just my opinion.

Thanks! Yeah I know how to do that, and that's what I'll probably do, but I'd just see if someone had a save game with some of the puzzles finished since I've played realmyst so many times that all the myst puzzles are tedious since I've solved them so many times. I guess one more time wouldn't hurt though haha!
The game is pretty simple really once you know how to do everything. Getting in and out of an age doesn't rely on doing any of the other ages, and once you're in an age you can instantly leave it if you know how, since the whole point of each age is to find a page and figure out how to get back. So you can do pretty much anything you want from a fresh game.

But you probably know that. Now I'm just rambling.

Riven on the other hand... you might have something there......

oh boy...I'm glad they only made one version of Riven because you can only really play AND enjoy that game once every couple of years.
