I must say, this is my first experience with any Myst game. While I've played several of its knockoffs, such as the Crystal Key, I've never played this classic until now. Myst, or in this case, Real Myst, is a fascinating journey through several ages, for the purpose of discovering what exactly is going on in this strange world that is somehow linked to a number of mysterious books. Along the way, several logical puzzles must be solved. Overall, the game is wonderful. If you've never played Myst, definitely try it-- it's not like anything you've ever played.
