Isnt Multiiwinia and Darwinia have native linux support? (Or not available in all Stores?)

A lot of that topics around game forums now looks like spamming for me...
Wine and PlayonLinux (same Wine) its not the same as play.it?

They both have a Linux native version, that's the version this script allows to install.

./play.it is not limited to Windows game, it can be used to install native games too, as well as games running through DOSBox, ScummVM and a couple other engines.

To make it short ./play.it is a solution to streamline games installation on Linux, and improve their integration in your environment. It does use WINE for some Windows games, but is not limited to it.

Sorry if our multiple posts might look like spam, when we launched this project a couple years ago posting about it in game-specific sub-forums was one of the only ways we had to get some visibility and raise awareness about the software we share ;)

If it can help you get some trust in the project, GOG staff actually pinned some of our posts, as an unofficial approval of our work. Some examples can be found in the following sub-forums:

Ok, i get it. Wine not required in System as im understand that.

Im just worried about some kids repackers who even dont know about native games. My russian torrents experience... Im sorry if my words looks like "blaming", i dont mean anything like that.

No problem, I understand why you were worried about this project ;)
We’ve been working on ./play.it for quite some years now, and are available in the repositories of several major distributions: https://repology.org/project/play.it/versions

About native engines, we tend to favour them whenever there are some available (even unofficial ones). Sometimes we allow to play a same game either with a native engine or with WINE, in rare cases where the game actually runs better through WINE due to poor quality native ports.
