It seems like they say you can play warband with 1 gig of ram..

I have 8 and a quadcore processor pushing over 3gigs....

My graphics have a gig of ram as well to work with...

but in the video menu if I put it on low it says I can only get 67% performance...

WIth graphics jacked up it says like 40%

...

I played the original on an older computer, with less ram and a dual-core processor (and older video card, but might have been slightly better).... I could get 100% at around low settings...

THe original, on an inferior machine looked awesome and worked pretty good, especially with smaller battle settings...

Why on a much better computer, with twice the RAM and processor....am I getting way less performance??
I was hoping I could turn it up a bit, get more texture etc...but no dice...

Also it feels like the motion is really clunky and I hate the battle animations in floris *I tried native and floris

KInda a 2nd question but does floris make combat suck or is warband combat just a lot different than the original for some odd reason? I was happy with warband attack actions, these new ones are garbage.
Playing warband with profecy of pendor all maxed out with 150 soldier for battle on a ASUS ultrabook with 4GB of ram and a intel i3 2x 1.2Ghz and Geforce 720m, without any type of issue.

I think warband has very bad combat myself.

1) Damages are all over the place
2) Armour is useless
3) Animation are confusing (they are hitting/parring/what the hell...)
4) NPC seems to have different timing than you do
5) Enemies can hit you "trough" their comrades (when two or more group you it's just non-sense)

I've get lots of benefit setting attack direction based on movement keys and not mouse (option screen)

Still, with Pendor mod the game is quite enjoyable, even if far from perfect.
System requirements are based on the native game; mods often have more detailed models and textures, hence the heavier impact.

So the combat in prophecy of pendor is different, or the same as the rest of warband??

I wonder if anyone has made some mods for the original to add everything that warband has BUT the combat changes???

I'd like to see the economic system etc. some extra weapons and so forth...don't need the new faction though personally...I'd like to get rid of the khergits too....

Actually I think they should get rid of horses or let them magically ride through anything and everything. Horses jerking and stopping on everything is just dumb. THey should crash and/or be more agile and self-preserving AI like a real horse. Real mounted combat is/was hell and sure death for most horses and riders a good chunk of the time. Not a good idea for a game if you want realism too..... well i guess that goes for all war...THey should make it conveniently unrealistic where it enhances the game play. THe way horses jerkstop on objects is both completley unrealistic and completely unfun all at the same stupid time.
Profesy of pendor is a total conersion thst will add tons of thins and make the game hugely better and HUGELY mre difficult.

The combat itself Is unchanged. You can make it behave like MB in the setting screen.

I found the game, combat wise, fun, unrealistic, crap and frustrating at the some time.
I hate when you get stuck in your own troops with the horse.

But it's the bedt thing around.
Ah, I hate that DAMN HIT POINTS!

GET RID OF THOOOOOOOSSSSEEEEEEEEE!
IT 40 YEARS OLD MECHANIC!!!!!
