Running Linux Mint Virginia Cinnamon. I am forced convert to Linux by recent Windows update failure. Don't know much about Linux. The Linux version of Warband vanilla seems to work (it launches fine --I haven't tried to really play it yet) but the windows based mods don't seem to work at all. I tried Perisno for example and although I could extract the mod to the modules folder, the game simply won't run it. No surprise.

So I installed Wine and installed the Windows version of Warband --which also launches without any problems in Wine. Now the Perisno 7z is sitting in my downloads folder and I can't figure out how to intall it. Where is the modules folder in Wine? I have typed in Terminal "whereis warband" and I get nothing. I also tried "whereis prefix" and also nothing. If I type "whereis wine" I get three locations but I have looked in all three and and I can't even find a warband directory. Also, I don't know how to start wine itself. I tried "wineboot" and just got a list of "fixme" reminders.

I don't know what to try next. Is it possible to "see" the Warband folder in Wine? set up a modules folder? I doubt that Wine will know what to do with the mod if I simply extract it using Wine. Is anyone out there running Warband on Linux with mods? If so, how did you do it?
