I saw the warsong conquest mod for this on some Youtube videos and became interested. I ma thinking about getting ti for that whenever GOG has sale on it. However I have a concern. I checked on system requirements lab and while my PC has the recommended hardware for most things it only has the minimum for the CPU.

So how does the game run if you have the minimum but not recommended CPU? Thanks

You can test the game before buying it. The developer - Taleworlds - has the full version available for download on their site. It will run in trial mode, if you don't have a serial key, which means your character development will be capped at level 6, AFAIR. This may prevent you from seeing really big battles (e.g. sieges), but should let you test a good chunk of the game on your system.

Please be advised that mods may have different system requirements than the base game - if you're buying WB strictly to play a mod, it might be a good idea to check, if it has higher requirements than the base game. It may be possible to install the mod onto the trial version of the game to test run it, but I'm not sure of that.
Thanks I will give it a shot.

Note that you can change the number of combatants in battle, so that can help if your CPU is choking on too much data. There's a slider for this in the game settings.
It runs fine so the recommended requirements may be in error.
