Hey,
I don't know if I'm the only one with that problem, but in my game on the world map occur regular fps drops like every 5 seconds when ingame time passes. The rest of the time fps is around 60 fps and even in battle it's fine.
I tried to track down the problem by experimenting with the graphic options but even on the lowest resolution in DirectX 7 with minimal graphic settings the stutter occurs. The configuration in the launcher didn't have an effect on it either.
I downloaded the recent Nvidia driver and reinstalled the game already. My specs should be fine too. I have an Intel i5 processor and a Nvidia GTX 660 graphics card. When I played the game last year the drops didn't happen (if I remember correctly. During the time I reinstalled my whole system and the game got some updates.)
Does anyone else have this problem, too? Any tips? Any help is welcome (besides reinstalling the os). Thanks in advance.
Edit: Drops don't occur in normal Mount & Blade.
Edit#2: The fps drop around 5 fps for a split second. Enough to be visible as stutter. Compatibility mode as Windows 7 had no effect (I use Windows 10).
