Hi, I got Mk4 to work on my Windows 10 64-bit machine but I'm noticing that when in fullscreen mode, there are scanlines in the MK4 intro videos.
I know this is minor, but I wanted to know how I could go about removing these scanlines if possible.
I've looked up YouTube videos of the intros and some of them don't have scanlines. I've also tried installing other non-GOG versions of MK4 and they seem to have scanlines.
Thanks in advance.

The scan lines are an effect of the video format used. This was done to reduce the size of the video formats at the time this game was released. The video's you see on YT have been converted, optimized which removed the scanlines. The scanlines are more visible now because we use larger resolutions nowadays.

Or maybe they just weren't there in the PS1/Dreamcast versions. It wasn\t rare for PC versions of the era to introduce them in order to save up on space and processing power needed.
It has NOTHING to do with saving space. It was done when CRT's were what people used and it helped improve the way they looked.

It's also there for loading speed and performance as the average home CPU's of the day weren't the best at video decoding.
So anyway that lets us remove these scanlines?

I can confirm that the Dreamcast version of MK4 (MK Gold) doesn't have scanlines in the video cutscenes, at least they are not visible. However, MK Gold has other technical problems.
