ageres_the_5th: It's dosbox anyway, so why would not add Linux packages? I tried to launch MK2 via dosbox, but I have to mount the game's folder every time and there's no sound effects for some reason, music only. So, having Linux installers would be nice.
Sorry to bump a very old thread but I'm also wondering about this.
MK1 works fine out of the box with DosBox 0.74-2
MK2 same as above. If you are missing in-game Sound FX, press F10 and change the IRQ in the game settings (or change the default dosbox settings for the SoundBlaster audio)
MK3 there are some issues during character selection and in the fade-out effect after winning a round but using a fixed number of cpu cycles seems to solve all the issues (on my i7-4720HQ 30000cycles seems an appropriate value but YMMV)
Having said that I am puzzled by the lack of a linux "backup game installer". Of course the usual workaround is to install the games using wine and then using the native dosbox executable to play but... what a convoluted approach for three simple games from the dos era! ;)
