I got so existed when I saw Mortal Kombat on GOG that I almost had a heart attack. But then it turned out to be the DOS version. C'mon GOG get the arcade version will you.

What version are you asking them to bring (the versions on Steam)? Is it realistic to expect what you are asking? I'm asking because "arcade version" makes it sound like you expect GOG to port (which of course they don't do) or emulate that could have legal complications. If we don't have Amiga games can we expect the "aracde version"?

I dunno, they can rig their own version of MAME for all I care. I just want the Arcade versions to add to me GOG collection.

There was Midway Arcade Treasures Deluxe Edition. I don't have it but I think this is as good as it gets. However I think PC ports are still better than the buggy mess called Arcade Kollection that is available on Steam.

Edit: Apparently there are some differences in MAT edition. Some shadows are missing and the game runs a little faster. Still as good as it gets without emulation.

MAME is open source like DOSbox. But it's not really user friendly. Still I think GOG should just use MAME like they do with dosbox. I've played MK 2 on MAME it's best way to play it I think.
This site is for pc games only! So go look for it elsewhere console boy.

It's clear you don't understand both the legal and technical complications as to why GoG can't sell the arcade games wrapped in MAME. Unless Warner Bros. re-re-re release the original games with DRM then you would see it on the GoG store page. If you are not happy with that don't whinging to GoG won't solve anything as it is not there fault nor is there anything they can do. You as a consumer have a voice so cry to Warner Bros. and demand they release a fully working versions of these games without DRM.

Warner Bros probably should be able to emulate Mortal Kombat 1,2,3, UMK. They have the rights to those games and how would that be different than the Raiden Legacy bundle which is emulated with encrypted ROMs? or the Double Dragon Trilogy or the Cinemaware games?
I'm hoping when devs and publishers notice that century old games still sell, they gonna start thinking about re-releasing their own products for PC. I wish I could play UMK3 on PC one day. BTW. why there's no MK 4 available yet? ;)

Oh you mean I'm not the only one who liked #4? :P That game gets frowned upon because it seemed designed for a PC as opposed to all the others which were obviously console based. I myself love it and keep the cd rom safe and sound. It also has my fave fatality of all time, ripping someone's leg off and beating them to death with it. *cry* It's so beautiful!

Sounds like Quan Chi's fatality. ;)
I liked MK 4, although it was ugly as hell (huge blood drops and insane gibberish like: Awwaahhmahlegg!). Still would get it if it was available. I loved MK4 music. There was one with yells I can hear clearly even today.

Yeah the blood was bad but you have to admit, being able to slam someone into the camera was a nice touch.

UMK3 is technically available on PC in Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection (now known simply as Mortal Kombat Kollection).
Doesn't Arcade Kollection require launching it through Games for Win. Live? Although I have it wish-listed on Steam, when I go through all the feedback it's almost all very negative. Gonna stick with my gog versions for now. Maybe something will change in the future.

Yes, it does require GfWL. That's why I said technically ;-). It has a lot of problems and many people can't even get it to work, but it is the only legal way to play UMK3 on PC. However, as I've said elsewhere, we can expect MK Trilogy (and MK4) to arrive here at some point.
