Since the some of the card frames are technically locked behind online (via Galaxy) play to get, I wanted to make a note of how to unlock them otherwise. This is just editing the game's config file.

Go to AppData Local Low
Shiny Shoe\MonsterTrain\sync
File: metagameSave.json

Near the end (for me it's the 2nd to last line), right off the root node:
"unlockedMasteryFrameTypes": [-1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7],

This unlocks all the currently-available frames. Only frames 1, 2 and 4 require online play to unlock. The others are available through offline play. The last 3 require the DLC.
I'm told that 1,2, while requiring online play, do work without Galaxy. I previously was led to believe the game used Galaxy as its multiplayer layer.

I'm also told that 4 can be done without online play.

Thanks for posting. They all work in single player mode. :)

I think I'll get the DLC and try out the last 3 codes. The game is fun so far, though I still have a lot to learn when it comes to what units synergize and how well they do it, as well as spells or what to upgrade. It's a fun and addictive game, but 3 or 4 bad random shuffles can be trying lol.

One aspect I don't like about the game is the descriptions or some units or spells. They upgrades arre gairly straight forward They aren't detailed enough lol. I mean w/o Googling, I had no idea what a Purge card did or how some of the units/spells functioned (because the details were just too short.

Regardless, the game is fun and it's my goto game now when I boot up my Win7 game SSD, before getting into the longer games. I used to play Monopoly, Risk II or Hoyle games as a warm up before playing games like Divinity Original Sin EE or Sins of a Aolar Empire lol. Now I start with Monster Train. :)
