I'm using VmWare Fusion 10 and Windows 8.1 on Mac, after install the game just won't start.

Installer: setup_monster_train_build-10379-production_(64bit)_(40958)

May be inapplicable, but it worked for me: if you are on a laptop, try forcing use of the integrated video card rather than whatever high-power dedicated card you have.
