After starting, I see a white box at the top left of the screen. Then the whole screen turns white. I have to quit the game with the Task Manager.

Anyone have an idea?

I'm getting the same thing.

1st Edit: I got it to work. I went into manage installation and open folder (on the GOG game manager screen) and opened the shortcut called "Launch The Secret of Monkey Islandtm - Special Edition". On the properties page, I enabled "Run program as administrator". And I also checked "Disable Full Screen Optimizations".

2nd Edit - This is important. Don't click "Play" in the GOG Galaxy program. Click on the shortcut you just edited to play the game.
