Does this version put a thick black border around the game while playing, like on the xbox 360 version?

To be clear, I have this game on the xbox 360 and while playing the remake mode (not the classic mode), there is a big 2 inch to 3 inch border around the entire gameplay area. The main menu fills the entire screen, but the gameplay graphics do not. So, although I have a 1920x1080p 54 inch tv, the game always has a thick border around everything and the game won't let me zoom in. So, it's like I can't play at full resolution or at the full screen size.

So, does this version have that problem? I will want to play it on my pc connected to my tv over hdmi, just like the xbox. I just don't want to buy it if it has the same problem.

I just tested it. No, it's nothing like the screenshots you posted. No border left or right only small border on the upper and lower part of the screen.
