According to a guide¹, there's an incense below the inkwell on the very left of the map. Odd incense indicates that a secret is there too, even after collecting the coin inside the fake wall on the left. I have no idea how to get the incense though. Can anyone help?

¹ Which I can't link to because apparently, despite having bought >100 games over a period of several years in their store, gog still doesn't think I'm trustworthy enough to post a single link in their forums. What the hell gog.

Yes, it is left from the starting point. In the room with the inkwell there is a crate near the entrance, you can drop down there. It is a simple invisible platform, just press down and jump. Completting the game without leveling up is quite a challenge but very fun.
