When I try to open the offline version without a web-connection, it will crash, when a web connection is active, it will work fine.

THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED!@

That would be DRM, wouldn't it?

I am connected to the internet and for me it crashes on startup with a HTTP error.

Specifically this seems to be related to some in-game camera feature, see this post (or the whole thread) on St**m.

The developer is active there and tries to get it working offline. Not sure if it's completely resolved now, but of course the GOG build is likely outdated anyway.

The GOG version needs a slightly different path:
~/.config/minit/camera/camera.ini

With content:
[camera]
user_url="https://minitgame.com"
api_key="featured_disabled_forever"

Now I can finally play the game I purchased two years ago.
