Hello,
I use Ubuntu, and I have just bought Minit, and it installs and launches correctly, but my controllers are not working (I have two controllers, a SNES-like one, and a Thrustmaster, and tried both).
I have tried to configure them (going to the Settings menu -> controls, then trying to press a button to assign it to the actions like Up, Down, etc, but it does nothing (but I can however assign different keys on the keyboard).
The controller seems to be recognized as, when I launch the game script in a terminal, it displays this :

GAMEPAD: Initialising Ubuntu support
Attempting to set gamepadcount to 4
GAMEPAD: Enumerating 3
GAMEPAD: device name USB,2-axis 8-button gamepad
GAMEPAD: buttons - 8, axes - 2

…which seems to be the right controller.
So, does someone know what is wrong ? Or is controller support simply not implemented under Linux ?

Two and a half years later, I have the same issue, the game does not recognize a standard XBox controller in Ubuntu. The controller is fully functional, as it works in other games.
What if I tell you, that you can install the Windows version with Wine and the controller works fine on that one, >:(
I bought the game yesterday (2024). I was managing to configure "joy2key" when I discovered the "antimicro" package (Debian testing/Trixie/13). It has a configurable GUI. And it works. You can find it on its GitHub page, project name "AntiMicroX".
