I see the game is on sale, so I'm asking. One of the reviewers said you have no access to the mods from Steamworkshop in this version of the game. My experience is that most mods you can download using SteamCMD and play the GoG version modded anyways (obviously, it requires some small effort).

Is there anything in this game that prevents that, as in "the devs force you to own the game on Steam in order to download each mod" (which is something a minority of devs actually do, to their shame) or something along these lines?
