I have been trying for years to get WOX to work with Where Are We? with absolutely zero success. Today, on a whim, I decided to try the original version of WOX, something that had never occurred to me. Surprised Pikachu Face, it works like a charm. Unfortunate, because I actually enjoy the silly voice acting.

Has anybody ever gotten WAW to work with the CD version of WOX? If so, how?

EDIT: It's worth mentioning that I'm aware of how WAW targets known memory addresses to read/write and that the CD version's addressing is different; this should have been obvious to me a long time ago, especially after a rather interesting incident-becomes-revelation with sav2wox earlier this year, but it just didn't click until I was today days old. I'm just curious if anybody has come across a workaround in any form.

It worked for me. You might try going to options > DOSbox and uncheck 'DOSbox memory quick-scan only.' I recall needing to do that for M&M2 to work. Possibly uncheck the next option down about warnings as well if the message keeps spamming you.

Never had mine checked. WAW "detects" the game, but never successfully loads the party nor automatically loads the map.
