I think this is how the series works - let me know if any is incorrect.
2 lets you transfer from 1.
3 is completely standalone.
4 does not let you transfer from 3.
5 links with 4, letting you transfer back and forth between the two games whenever you like.
6 does not let you transfer from 5.
Is this accurate? And what about Swords of Xeen, can you transfer characters to or from that? Also, how about 7, 8, and 9?
I want to know because I really loved Quest for Glory where you can create a humble little character in the first game, and transfer that character you created and developed so you can continue his adventures in the next one. It just feels so rewarding in a way that most sequels don't.
