I was kind of on the fence about replaying WoX for the umpteenth time, well now I'm in for sure!

Old saves aren't compatibe. They're saved with an extension of .SAV and the new ones with .WOX

Oooh thanks! Sad to say I bought Might and Magic 4 when it was brand new and only beat it once a looong time ago. Got pretty far on World of Xeen with Gog version and glad I don't have to start over again!
As an aside when I first got M&M 4 I had the strategy guide and in it one of the developers talked about how he couldn't wait until all games were on CD-Rom (I had the disk version) as it was much cheaper to produce CD-Roms compared to the 3 1/2" disks and would thus become cheaper for the consumers. The prices may have come down a little but considering how much the disk costs to make, should have been more. Wow. Still remember paying $60 for Ultima IV back in mid eighties.
