Evening from NZ, long time reader, first time poster, so apologies if this is in the wrong section.
I've been playing MM3 and reliving my life from the 90s :) back then my stepbrother and I used to play the game on his 486 (yikes!) and he had the option for Roland sound. It sounded amazing!!

I've purchased the M&M bundle from here and it works fine, but try as I might I can't find an option to change the sound settings to select the Roland one. Is there a way to do this? I can change the graphics settings but can't figure out how to change the sound settings.

Thanks in advance :)
Weird that you can't change the settings.

My GOG install defaults to Roland + Blaster, which is what you probably want for the Roland MT-32/CM-32L (Music) and Sound Blaster (Effects) support.

When launching "Launch Might and Magic 3 - Isles of Terra" from the game folder.
Choose "2 -Game DOS Settings"
"N"- To change settings
"1"-VGA/MCGA
"7"-Roland + Blaster
"Y"-To save settings.

Are you emulating the MT-32/CM-32L or using real hardware? Standard DOSBox doesn't come with MT-32/CM-32L emulation built in, so just choosing the settings won't allow it to work.

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.
I think it's the GOG launcher I'm using that must be starting it (my system is Windows 10).
I don't seem to have a launcher in the game folder - these are all the files I see, and the .exe and .com files won't open in Windows 10.
Could it be a setting in the Dosbox .cfg file?

That provided image is also missing the "dosboxMM3_single.conf" which GOG generally uses as an autoexec for running the game.

I'd probably just re download and fresh install MM3, but use the offline installers as opposed to GOG Galaxy.

Making a backup of the original install if you've made progress with your saves, of course.
