This is a post to answer a question I had about the ARENA in MM7. I was pretty sure I'd beaten it at Knight Level five times, but I wasn't getting credit for it. The quest giver in Baracada Desert kept saying you haven't done it. I ran a sixth time just in case my "easiest" run had been on "Page" level. Still no go.
Solution: You have to go back to the Arena Master after you win! You can't just beat the monsters and walk out the exit! I didn't know that and I haven't been able to find anywhere that tells me that, but now all you new people getting into the game know it.
This is entirely different from the "Do the Arena at low level" exploit. You'd have to do the report to the arena master in that case, too, to have it counted.
